Problem
You might realize that some of your files kept in the /scratch file system have disappeared after a while.
Solution
The /scratch filesystem is cleaned by a script on a regular basis: please check the cleaning policy on the dedicated section of the User Portal.
Unfortunately, once the files on /scratch have been deleted, there is no way to recover them: /scratch is meant to keep only the temporary files needed for a run.
Please consider moving your valuable data from
scratch to other file systems after your simulations are complete using the data transfer service.Related articles
