CSCS provides and supports a selection of scientific visualisation and I/O tools and libraries on the computing systems. Please have a look at the individual tool page to find out how to run in a production environment and take note of the page dedicated to I/O, which contains important general recommendations.
CSCS staff can also help users requesting visualisation and I/O support to achieve effective data understanding:
- adopting the most appropriate I/O library and optimising their usage for large-scale visualisation;
- assisting users in migrating to in-situ visualisation to overcome the penalty of large I/O to disks;
- providing expert tuning of ParaView or VisIt to efficiently load-balance their computations;
- selecting the most appropriate visualisation and image generation techniques for different scientific fields.
